- Removal of abandoned telephone wires from utility poles. In our neighborhood, Austin Energy has cleared trees around power wires and this has exposed many old telephone cables that are sagging or broken completely. I would like to know the process for having these wires removed. Since some are completely broken, they seem to have been abandoned
