Outdoor Commercial Venue Music Complaint

Refer to APD - Close SR. Loud music complaint received via 311 for the Daryl K. Royal Memorial stadium at 8:25 pm. The University of Texas is hosting a football game against Texas A&M University which is in progress at the time of the service request. A check of TCAD records indicates the stadium is wholly located on property owned by the State of Texas. As such, the City maintains no jurisdiction on State property regarding Section 9-2 of City Code (sound ordinance), per State Statute. This complaint will be referred to the Austin Police Department for review and assessment for transfer either to UTPD or the Texas Department of Public Safety. CLOSE SR.
