Bicycle Issues
Banister Ln & Morgan Ln, AustinCLOSED #25-00282856Evaluated/Addressed Issue - Close SR. Thank you for contacting 311. The bike lanes on Banister have been installed for over a decade to help improve bike connectivity within South Austin. Banister is a lower volume road that primarily serves residential needs. Bike lanes also narrow the road, which keeps vehicle speeds from exceeding the posted 30 mph limit. As always, thank you for any feedback that you provide on roadway designs.

600 San Jacinto Blvd, AustinPedicabs blocking the protected bike lane on San Jacinto, north of 6th St.
CLOSED #25-00278782Evaluated/Addressed Issue - Close SR. Thank you for contacting 311. In the future, please submit a Parking Violation Enforcement request on the 311 app. For type of violation, select "Bike Lane." Enforcement officers will be sent to the location to address pedicabs blocking the bike lane. As for adding no parking signs, updated city code now makes it illegal to park in bike lanes regardless of whether no parking signage is present. In the past, the city was unable to enforce parking violation bike lanes without signage, but this has now changed under the new code. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
