Details On Friday, the 25th of July, I inspected the site to follow-up on a citizen complaint regarding algae in the stormwater control measure (SCM). There is a lot of algae in the pond, but the citizen's request to install a pump or fountain in the pond is outside of our ability to enforce, since none was approved as part of the site plan. In addition, the amount of algae is expected to diminish as the amount currently observed is probably due to the recent heavy rainfall events providing an influx of nutrients and a following period of warmth and stillness.   file://///COACD.ORG/DFS/PIERIMAGES/SubDivision/97/C8-97-0123.1B(R4)_1/SCP-C8-97-0123.1B(R4)_1~109(1).TIF In addition, the SCM is healthy, with a good vegetative bench and a lot of Gambusia affinis. And though water is higher than expected at the outlet, this appears to be related to an undetermined drainage issue that may be related to recent rains and unrelated to algal buildup.  One small area of erosion was noted near a headwall; however, it does not currently pose a threat to the stability of the headwall. A notice of violation was not issued; however, the erosional area should be filled as part of routine maintenance in the future. JNB .

Class: SR Created By: Log Type: VEG_MAINTENANCE Summary: Pond Flag 516 Details *Pond Flag 516:  *This pond is maintained four times per year:  March, May, September, November.  It was last maintained in May and is on the schedule for September.  Due to the unusual rainfall we have experienced this summer, the vegetation all over the city has grown more than usual.  Unfortunately, the contractors must stick to their maintenance schedule so that all ponds receive their annual maintenance.   The contractors have been completing their monthly schedule a week or more early so, it is possible that this pond will be maintained at the end of August.  I have let the contractor know that this pond has received a service request so that they can prioritize thier work load accordingly.  .

Details On Friday, the 25th of July, I inspected the stormwater control measure (SCM) that is the subject of the complaint. The citizen who issued the complaint did not require a callback. At the time of the inspection, the SCM was in a condition similar to those observed during the 3 previous inspections for this site, all of which resulted in notices of violation for the SCM on the basis of standing water and sediment and vegetation in/at the splitter box and inlet. The SCM is not draining water correctly and there is an indication of blockage in the underdrain piping, overlying sands, and/or the outlet.  On Monday, the 28th of July, I sent an email to the Wildhorse Master Community manager, Mr. Ruben Salinas, indicating that the SCM had not been repaired and that they should prioritize the SCM repair over others due to it being non-functional. I also requested that they submit a schedule for the repair of this SCM, others issued 3rd NOVs, and two issued first NOVs for the community. If the owners do not comply, the site may be moved into our enforcement que. JNB .

Class: SR Created By: Log Type: VEG_MAINTENANCE Summary: Pond Flag 530 Details *Pond Flag 530:*  This pond is maintained four times per year: March, May, September, November.  It was last maintained on May 17, 2025.   It is on the schedule for maintenance in September.  Due to the unusual amount of rainfall this Spring and Summer, many of our ponds have experienced excessive vegetation growth in a short period of time.  Unfortunately, our contractors must maintain our maintenance schedule for all the ponds.  Currently the contractors are working ahead of schedule, typically completing their monthly schedule a week or more before the end of the month.  They are then starting on the next month's schedule.  As such, we hope they can visit this pond at the end of August.  I will be making them aware of this service request so that they can prioritize their work load accordingly.
