Class: SR Created By: Log Type: NO_PROBLEMFOUND Summary: Investigation Details During investigation it was determined that there are leaved and sediment that were released into the pond from storm drains being cleaned. The pond is designed to capture water and debris and filter it out. The leaves and sediment are not a functionality concern for the pond. The Vactor crew will be going back out to clear the outlet apron and sediment from the diverters.

Class: SR Created By: Log Type: VEG_MAINTENANCE Summary: Pond Flag 703 Details *VCP POND 703.10: *This pond is on our Wildflower Meadow Program and, as such, is maintained twice per year: in February and August.  Maintenance is not performed between March and July to give the wildflowers a chance to grow, bloom and go to seed to provide wildflowers for the following Spring.  I will let the contractor know that this pond has a service request so they can prioritize their schedule for August accordingly.  I will also ask our trash removal contractor to come remove the shopping carts.  .

Details Site visit in response to a citizen's concern over vegetation and water level.  These were their reported notes:   /The [city-owned] pond has significant overgrowth of plants and vegetation, which is restricting its water-holding capacity. This excessive plant growth poses a risk of overflow during heavy rainfall and may compromise the pond's ability to manage stormwater effectively. Please inspect and schedule appropriate maintenance to restore proper function and prevent potential flooding in the surrounding area. Behind Medinah Greens Dr, Austin, 78717./   First off this is not a COA-owned pond.  It is owned and maintained by the Avery Ranch Property Owners Association.  And, my findings don't support these concerns.  In fact, this Wet Pond basin is in the best overall condition I've ever seen it.  Current water level is optimum (compared to past summers) and the perimeter vegetation, which was all but dead and/or missing two years ago has been re-established and is healthy and not excessive at all.  Gambusia mosquito fish are present in robust numbers and the pond is quite clean.    There is some minor debris (rocks) that appear to have been placed in the drain of the concrete spillway, so I will contact Aquatic Features directly to let them know.  Aquatic Features has a maintenance contract with Avery Ranch and manages the many ponds within the community.   No letter warranted at this time.         .

Class: SR Created By: Log Type: WO_CREATED Summary: Details    Joe Bell, PIDS completed a compliance inspection of the stormwater control measure and observed deficiencies as follows: sediment build up and inlets and outlets blocked. A notice of violation will be issued 7/16/2025, refer to WO 25-203311.   Also, DSD EV inspection completed an inspection of the active home building in the area.   Brent discussed the duck pond (wetland) with the concerned citizen and addressed them. .
