The 6ft median islands leave 18ft travel lanes, which are too wide and encourage speeding. Under the ASMP and Vision Zero framework, we request context-based pavement markings, edge striping, or parking designations to visually narrow lanes to 11-12ft to justify a 25 mph limit next to our residential driveways.
