Vegetation Maintenance - Close SR. Class: SR Created By: MORGANJ Log Type: VEG_MAINTENANCE Summary: Pond Flag #469 Details Pond Flag #469:This was just addressed inCSR24-00179508. As stated in the previous SR, this pond was added to the Wildflower Meadow Program in 2018 and receives maintenance 2x annually, roughly in February and August. The pond area is not mowed between March and July to allow the wildflower to bloom and go to seed. I will be inspecting this pond before the end of May to determine how the wildflowers are doing and if we need to plant more seed this coming Fall. 5/20/24 Juliet Morgan.

It is scheduled for maintenance again in July. The tentative maintenance schedule is March, July, September and December. I called and left a message for the customer on 5/14/24 letting them know the schedule.

It was last maintained on 2/5/24. Prior to that it was maintained in August 2023. Maintenance does not occur during the Spring and Summer months to allow the wildflowers to go to seed. The area behind the mailboxes on Clairmont drive is not part of the VCP for the pond. This area is maintained by PARD. I will forward this request to PARD. Update:Spoke with Nate Thayer at PARD this morning and I shared the photo the customer attached to the service request. He said that area is actually outside of the mowing area around the mailboxes and is part of the greenbelt and is not maintained. It's an open space. Class: SR Created By: MORGANJ Log Type: VEG_MAINTENANCE Summary: Pond Flag #287 Details Pond Flag #287:This pond is on a 4x annual maintenance schedule and was last maintained on 4/5/24. I responded to the previous service request (SR-00117714) on 4/19/24 and walked the pond. I did not see any areas that were effecting the drainage of the pond. There was one very small brush pile but it was also not effecting the functionality of the pond. I took photos and uploaded them to the previous service request. I left a message with the customer on 5/14/24 letting them know that I didn't see anything effecting the functionality of the pond.

Class: SR Created By: MORGANJ Log Type: VEG_MAINTENANCE Summary: Pond Flag #70 Details Pond Flag #70: This pond is on a 6x annual maintenance schedule and was last maintained on 4/11/24. The buffer is maintained 12x a year and was last maintained on 4/16/24. The photos uploaded by the contractor for these two maintenance dates indicate the work was completed; however, the photos are not comprehensive and do not show the area adjacent to the mailboxes. I will conduct a site visit this week to determine if the maintenance work was completed. At any rate, both the pond and the buffer should be maintained again this month. I am sending an email to the contractor letting them know that the area adjacent to the mailboxes needs to be completed.

No Work Planned - No Problem Found - Close SR. Class: SR Created By: QUALEYR Log Type: NO_PROBLEMFOUND Summary: Investigated citizen's concern of standing water. Details Contacted concerned citizen via phone call. No answer on 05/06/24, I left a voicemail. I reached back out on 05/07/24, and he expressed his concern of the standing water, and his opinion of the new road design. He stated that he has fought for a long time to get a turn lane put in, and now the city has taken it away for a bike lane and a rain garden. I took photos and was informed by Sierra Dasilva of Shoal Creek Conservancy that this particular rain garden is one of a few new ponds being put in along Shoal Creek Blvd. Laura Dierenfield of Transportation & Public Works is the contact for the construction on the roads. Sierra stated that as soon as the water dries up, she is going to plant plantings here, and that the water is only there due to constant rain over the past day or two. I followed up with the concerned citizen referring him with both Sierra Dasilva & Laura Dierenfield.

Pond appears to be functioning as designed at this time.

It is on the schedule for May and I have asked the contractor to prioritize it. When the weather permits, this pond should be mowed very soon. I left a message with the customer on 5/2/24 to verify this is the pond she requested maintenance at since there are two other ponds on this street.
