See details Details The electrical system for the concession building and surrounding area at Camacho fields was determined to be dated and out of compliance by a city inspector. The site has already been sent to a third party contractor for repairs, as of 10/01 athletics has informed the parks staff that the contractor has obtained the ordered materials for the new installation and will begin the work in the near future, after the installation the site will need to be reinspected and scheduled to be re-energized by Austin energy if and when it passes. This will take some time however there is another restroom between field 2 and 3 next to the exterior calisthenics workout equipment that can be utilized during this period and the power situation has been relayed by athletics to any group requesting to rent the fields, they are also currently putting up more signage in the area explaining the circumstances.
