  • Road Markings/Striping - New

    1202 Angelina St, Austin

A COA contractor painted parking bay lines in front of a fire hydrant a while back. The city tried to remove them but did a poor job (lines are still visible). Would it be possible to have the lines fully removed, and for a red “FIRE LANE” marking to be applied to the curb? Vehicles are always parked in this area and they don’t see the no parking signs.

  • Road Markings/Striping - New

    13322 Lamplight Village Ave, Austin

Cars speeding and making dangerous overtakes on Lamplight Village Ave

    CLOSED #25-00398557

Field Inspection Conducted - Close SR. 12/8/25 - Left voicemail with direct contact information 12/8/25 - Spoke with requestor. Informed requestor that when Lamplight Village Ave was last resurfaced, Austin Transportation and Public Works (ATPW) Active Transportation and Street Design (ATSD) Division omitted the double yellow center line to leave space for future bike lane facilities. Based on average daily traffic numbers, ATPW does not recommend re-installing the center lines at this time. Discussed the Speed Management Program with caller - Lamplight Village Ave is currently studied and ranked, but did not rank high enough for design/funding in the last cycle of the Speed Management Program. Gave caller Austin Police Department (APD) contact information for speed enforcement requests.

  • Road Markings/Striping - New

    815 E 15th St, Austin

Paint lane divider/turning lane guidance lines for double turn lane from NI-35 on to E15th. With the right-most turn lane also being a straight option and the shoulder under the bridge also on the right hand side, the drivers on the left-most turn lane often drift over, causing a hazardous situation.

That roadway is under their jurisdiction so they would be responsible for taking action at this location. I've submitted a request on your behalf to them and any future requests for their roads can be submitted via their website: https://www.txdot.gov/about/contact-us/report-an-issue.html . ".

Drivers are expected to make a right out of the private driveway where there is a gap in traffic to turn onto Braker Lane safely. Austin Transportation and Public Works also does not recommend installing delineators after the driveway at this time due to the narrowness of the inside lane where cars will hit them and/or would impede into the bike lane.
