Previous to the median installation I could look over my shoulder and zag into the travel lane where's there's some asphalt patching to provide a decent transition. Now I have to slow considerably for comfort and to not pop a tire. Can asphalt patching be added to this bridge transition to aid bicyclists? RESPONSE: As I read the description above, I am wondering if you meant to say the westbound approach to the bridge headed towards I-35? Looking further into this matter, I found an old picture of the westbound approach which fits your description (see pic 2). Please correct me if I'm wrong as my reply is based on the westbound. If this is the same location, I am happy to report that the issue has been addressed. New asphalt has been placed and the approach should be a smooth one (see Pic 3) Citizen Response: Thanks for the response.
