Traffic Signal - Modification

Issue Has Been Resolved - Close SR. Conducted field review of pedestrian crossings at Menchaca & Ravenscroft. An existing LPI (Leading Pedestrian Interval) was implemented in the summer of 2024. However, for crossing Menchaca, it was only a 5.0 second LPI. I extended this LPI time to 7.0 seconds to give more time for the pedestrian to get a head start when crossing Menchaca. Having exclusive pedestrian phases here will negatively impact the progression of traffic along Menchaca. State law requires vehicles to stop/yield to pedestrians and if this is not occurring it is an enforcement issue. Additionally, all crosswalks were clearly visible when turning from Ravenscroft onto Menchaca.
