Street Resurfacing

No Action Needed - Close SR. The street was originally constructed in the mid-1907's in accordance with the existing Drainage Criteria Manual standards and recommendations, based on the existing grade and soil conditions. Ponding appears to be limited to the driveway and does not present a hazard. Issues with driveways are often the responsibility of the property owner to repair or replace. However, raising the driveway will not resolve the ponding issue and would only shift it elsewhere, as the street has a very flat grade at this point. The street was repaved 5/12/2023, but photos show standing water before that date. It is unlikely that there will be any street resurfacing in the next 12- 18 years, but if there is a sidewalk or utility project that affects the street grade, this ponding issue might be corrected. Resident should closely observe any street work notices and contact the project on the notice to see if drainage improvements can be added to that project.
