CLOSED #25-00139414

Evaluated/Addressed Issue - Close SR. Transportation and Public Works (TPW) routinely evaluates streets for safety and mobility improvements, often in coordination with routine maintenance (resurfacing and remarking). Coordinating with maintenance and deliver these mobility and safety benefits at a fraction of the cost of a stand-alone project. Most of the time, such projects include a public engagement process to best understand how people use the street and to offer option for improving safety, connectivity and comfort. In consultation with TPW's Pavement Preservation Program, staff analyzed the pavement quality of Staked Plains Drive to determine the next opportunity for maintenance. These street segments, having been constructed in 2013, were determined to be in Grade A condition and do not have any near-term pavement maintenance scheduled thus there are no near-term opportunities to explore changes at this time. In the meantime, we have added Staked Plains Drive to the candidate list for future projects when funding resources become available or when routine maintenance is scheduled.
