Issue Has Been Resolved - Close SR. Due to existing signal head configuration, a Leading Pedestrian Interval (LPI) across Menchaca at Lamar is not feasible. It would also not eliminate vehicles from turning right on red and not looking south/north for pedestrians in the crosswalk. COA will look into additional signage warning drivers to be aware and to yield to pedestrians. Additionally, bond money has been allocated to make significant changes to this intersection which will be coming in the near future.
