My name is Stephen Barkley and I'm with the Austin Transportation and Public Works Department (TPW). I'm responding to your 311 inquiry requesting a No Truck Parking over 9000 LBS on or near 13016 Lipton Loop. I'm following up on a voicemail I left for you earlier this afternoon. Per City of Austin Code 12-5-9 a person may not park a motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight greater than 9,000 pounds on a public street with a speed limit of 30 miles per hour or less. Since it is already a violation of City Code to park a vehicle 9,000 pounds or greater on a public street with a speed limit of 30 miles per hour or less, TPW will not be moving forward with your request. Should you a notice a violation of City Code 12-5-9 occurring, I encourage you to report it to Austin 311. You can submit your request by phone (dial 3-1-1 from anywhere in Austin), by mobile app (this will allow you to upload pictures of the violation), or online at http://austintexas.gov/department/311. After a few warnings or citations have been issued, this should help prevent these types of trucks from parking on Lipton Loop in the future. Thank you again for reaching out to the City.
