No Work Planned - No Problem Found - Close SR. Class: SR Created By: Log Type: NO_PROBLEMFOUND Summary: Site visit and phone call to concerned citizen. Details Site visit in response to a citizen's concern over vegetation and water level.  These were their reported notes:   /The [city-owned] pond has significant overgrowth of plants and vegetation, which is restricting its water-holding capacity. This excessive plant growth poses a risk of overflow during heavy rainfall and may compromise the pond's ability to manage stormwater effectively. Please inspect and schedule appropriate maintenance to restore proper function and prevent potential flooding in the surrounding area. Behind Medinah Greens Dr, Austin, 78717./   First off this is not a COA-owned pond.  It is owned and maintained by the Avery Ranch Property Owners Association.  And, my findings don't support these concerns.  In fact, this Wet Pond basin is in the best overall condition I've ever seen it.  Current water level is optimum (compared to past summers) and the perimeter vegetation, which was all but dead and/or missing two years ago has been re-established and is healthy and not excessive at all.  Gambusia mosquito fish are present in robust numbers and the pond is quite clean.    There is some minor debris (rocks) that appear to have been placed in the drain of the concrete spillway, so I will contact Aquatic Features directly to let them know.  Aquatic Features has a maintenance contract with Avery Ranch and manages the many ponds within the community.   No letter warranted at this time.         .
