Evaluated/Addressed Issue - Close SR. Thank you for contacting 311. Recent changes on Menchaca were designed to accommodate the widths of buses and vehicles. In the event of long turning queues that need to be bypassed by emergency vehicles, the flexible posts in the bike lanes have been designed to be driven over without damaging the emergency vehicle. While maintaining bicycle connectivity here is necessary per the Transportation Criteria Manual and Austin Strategic Mobility Plan, further signal work through the City's Mobility Management Center can be evaluated to address queuing.
