Vegetation Maintenance - Close SR. Class: SR Created By: Log Type: VEG_MAINTENANCE Summary: Pond Flag 655 Details *Pond Flag 655.1: * This pond is on our Wildflower Meadow Program which is maintained twice per year by our mowing contractor. Our wet pond contractor maintains the interior and immediate perimeter of the wet pond three times per year. The mowing contractor was last out to maintain the pond on 9/17/25. The wet pond contractor was last out at this pond on 6/26/25. I will communicate with the wet pond contractor to see when they plan to go out to this pond next. I spoke with the customer on 9/25/25. He was concerned about the tall vegetation around the perimeter of the pond. Customer says he enjoys fishing in the pond but the tall vegetation makes it hard. I explained that the pond is not maintained for aesthetic purposes and is not a park and it is maintained so that it functions as part of our watershed. However, I told him I would ask the wet pond contractor to remove any invasive species around the pond. I will update after I speak with the wet pond contractor. - Juliet Morgan *Update 9/26/25: * The wet pond contractor said, "We can hit 655 first thing in October, I'll note it down now. We'll look for areas of invasives, woodies, or thatch/brush first to clear out. When it starts getting colder, we should have areas with a lot of thatch so we may able to align priorities on that." .
