Details
A preliminary inspection conducted on December 4 found that most pavement dips are related to trench settlement around utility covers. A more extensive survey will be completed to identify similar settlement issues on nearby streets. If the same problem is found in those areas, a detailed investigation of the trench backfill will be required.
In the meantime, temporary asphalt level-ups will be applied to address the dips. These temporary repairs will be completed when air temperatures allow for asphalt work.
