Traffic Signal - Maintenance

Issue Has Been Resolved - Close SR. Monitored the intersection on both KITS and traffic camera, there are no visible signs of failing detection for the side streets that would result in long wait times for vehicles queued on the eastbound left turn lane. The signal is operating as expected at this time, but we will continue to monitor traffic operations at the intersection. Please also note, the City evaluated left turn operations at this intersection. As part of this evaluation, we studied intersection characteristics, crash history, as well as safety and mobility factors. Based on this evaluation, the city protected this/these left turn(s) at specific times of day only to improve safety and reduce the risk of severe crashes. We will continue to monitor this location's operations and safety performance to determine if additional adjustments are needed in the future.
