- Street sanding issue during recent storm. Our section of Cat Mountain Drive is very steep and it was extremely dangerous for both cars and pedestrians due to the ice storm. I witnessed two City of Austin trucks approach Cat Mountain Drive from Ledge Mountain with sand. They turned East, toward Mesa Drive, and sanded the street. The other section of the street has steeper hills but didn’t receive sand. How can we get on the list for sand in the future? There were 2 minor accidents.
