- I am reporting an urgent animal-welfare concern at Austin Animal Center, 7201 Levander Loop. The facility has reportedly been without functioning air conditioning for approximately two weeks during extreme Austin heat, with reports of indoor temperatures exceeding 100°F. I am requesting an immediate Animal Protection/welfare assessment and escalation to the appropriate City department. I also want the City to document what emergency cooling measures are currently being provided.
