- Description
- The traffic light on Duval at 32nd street has a timing issue. It used to do a long cycle for Duval with short cycles for traffic coming W off 32nd street, but somehow it seems to have reversed with short cycles on Duval and long cycles for 32nd. As a result, on Wednesday this week at 4:45 pm the traffic on Duval was backed up all the way to San Jacinto while there were no cars coming off 32nd at each light cycle. I don’t know what changed or why but it was working fine before about October 10.

Issue Has Been Resolved - Close SR. Observed for several cycles via timing values and historical intersection timing report. Intersection has malfunctioning sidestreet detection, resulting in repeated extended service to sidestreet. Adjusted signal timing to reduce sidestreet time and increase mainline time. Notified detection crew for detection repair. Will continue to monitor operations.
