He returned my call immediately. In trying to determine the exact location of the area he was referencing, we determined it was part of Williamson Creek south of William Cannon, east of Becket Road and north of Wheeler Branch Road. Creek Flag 68 begins behind the residence located at 7109 Wheeler Branch Road and runs southeast. I am going email the Creeks coordinator and see if this is something he can address or if we should forward it to Open Water Ways. Juliet Morgan.

It is on the schedule for maintenance in July; however, due to the frequent rains in April and May, the contractor has been running a bit behind schedule. I have asked the contractors to prioritize this pond for their August schedule. There are over 200 ponds in the Wildflower Meadow Program which haven't been maintained since February or earlier. With the extra rain we've had this Spring and Summer, there has been a lot of vegetation growth in these and all the ponds the Watershed Protection Department maintains. The contractor is still working on the maintenance schedule for July; however, they will maintain the pond at Oak Springs as soon as they possibly can.

This pond is typically maintained 4 times annually and was last maintained on June 22, 2024. However, the contractor missed the area adjacent to South 1st Street near the bus stop. On July 9, 2024 the contractor was notified that they missed the area and a request was made for them to revisit the area to complete the work. On July 15th and July 24th, the contractor was also reminded and requests were made for them to revisit and complete the work. The contractor will return when they can to complete the work.

This pond was last maintained in December 2023 and was seeded with wildflowers in January 2024. I will request the contractor prioritize this one for August since it would have normally been maintained in February and has gone without maintenance longer than some of the other ponds on the Wildflower Meadow Program.

It is on a six times annual maintenance schedule. It was scheduled last for May but the contractor didn't maintain it until June 12, 2024. However, it is on the schedule again for July. Furthermore when the contactor was there in June, they missed an area along the road near the bus stop. Contractor is aware the area was missed and should be there before the end of July to maintain.
