Drainage Pond Maintenance
8905 Big View Dr, AustinWater loss in pond at City park
CLOSED #26-00107326Future Work Scheduled - Close SR. Summary: Pond losing water due to riser pipe malfunction. Using pump to replace water from the lake. Details: 04/10/2026 ~ On site I observed the pond had lost a significant amount of water. Photos attached. The concerned citizen (HOA Board Member) Eric Suburban stated that they realized on Monday 04/06 that something was wrong. Had their pond maintenance guy investigate and learned that the plug from the riser pipe had come loose on Wednesday 04/08. He was able to replace the plug, but said he felt like it was only a temporary fix. They are currently using a small pump to pump water from the lake back into the pond. Kelli Bruce reached out to Operations to have them go out on Monday 04/13 to provide a bigger pump. Kelli also reached out to Julie White in Spills, and she confirmed that the fish should be okay with the current water level, and we are expecting rain as well over the next few days. I will be creating a CPI WO in Maximo for this wet pond. .

Drainage Pond Maintenance
5639 Airport Blvd, AustinCLOSED #26-00101103Future Work Scheduled - Close SR. Summary: Site visit. Flooding no longer an issue but trash and debris remain. Details: Inspection completed by B. Jackson in response to a 311 regarding the Wet Pond overtopping during the most recent rain event. This issue has been raised before and it's been previously determined that the stormwater control was built according to plan. It is also within the floodplain. It is apparent this WP receives routine maintenance. Overall, it looks good. However, there is a decent amount of debris (organic and trash) that accumulated and remained after the water receded. There is some debris within the large splitter box but not as much as one would expect to see. In lieu of generating a Notice of Violation, and since an open line of communication has been established over the last few years, I am contacting the Owner (ACC) and the Property Manager (Red Leaf Property Management) to discuss the need for immediate debris removal. I will be calling the concerned citizen once I've made contact. Also, the Watershed-approved Wet Pond educational signage has been erected along the north side of the pond.
