Drainage Pond Maintenance
CLOSED #24-00433763Vegetation Maintenance - Close SR. Class: SRCreated By: Log Type: VEG_MAINTENANCESummary: Pond Flag 1498Details*Update:*I visited the pond on 12/12/24 and I didn't see any dead trees leaning on the fence. However, I did notice that the contractor hasn't been keeping some areas within the pond clear of debris and vegetation. Watershed will get a quote from our tree contractor for clearing the channel next to the pond and I will have them look at the trees along the fence to determine if any are dead and needing removal.

Directly behind my residence at 10709 Sea hero Lane is a city of Austin water drainage ditch. Every few weeks when the city contractor comes to cut the grass, they cut the lock and leave it wide open for transients and children to enter the drain pipes. Please fix immediately. This is probably the 8th or 9th report I’ve had to make on this.

Pond aerator or fountain to help with harmful algae growth.
CLOSED #24-00420520No Work Planned - No Problem Found - Close SR. Class: SRCreated By: Log Type: NO_PROBLEMFOUNDSummary: No actual problem with aerator.DetailsA concern from a citizen was received regarding an aerator/fountain that wasn't working. However, this wet pond has no aerator/fountain. Per construction notes within C8-97-0123 it wasn't designed to have one. The changing of the seasons in conjunction with regular rainfall should remedy any algae concerns. Algae is currently present but not to the extent that it is covering or suffocating the pond.
