I spoke with the Participant and provided that a car parking too close does not constitute a view obstruction, but we would move forward with installing a No Parking sign to prevent drivers from parking too close to the intersection. Field Inspection Conducted - Close SR. Good afternoon Miriam, Thank you for contacting the City of Austin. My Name is Stephen Barkley and I am with Austin Transportation and Public Works. I am responding to your 3-1-1 view obstruction service request for 1700 Collier Street, located on the northwest corner of Collier Street at Oxford Avenue. I conducted a field visit to this location on September 30, 2026, and I agree that the vegetation on the corner is causing a view obstruction for drivers turning off Oxford Avenue onto Collier Street. A view obstruction notification letter will be mailed out to the property owner/resident located at 1700 Collier Street on Monday, October 5, 2026. They will have 10 days after receiving the letter to voluntarily abate the obstruction and if they do not, this issue will be forwarded to the proper City Department for further action.
