8508 Cahill Dr, AustinCLOSED #26-00099650Site Inspection Completed - Close SR. 4/3/26 - Talked with Heather about her concerns of speed and for speed mitigation devices. I informed her that Cahill Drive is already in the Speed Management Program but unfortunately it did not rank high enough for speed mitigation devices. The speed data was collected in 2023 so it will be eligible for a restudy in 2027. I informed Heather if she would like to see the data collected she can submit a Public Information Request (PIR). I also informed Heather that speeding is an enforcement issue and she can contact her Austin Police Department District Representative for enforcement.

3502 Oak Springs Dr, AustinSpeed management request for Oak Springs Drive between Springdale road and Airport Blvd. I have lived at 3502 Oak Springs Drive since 2011 and have seen one incident after another related to speeding. The most recent was a few weeks ago when I heard a car going fast and I was in the front yard. I saw a couple with a baby stroller dive off the sidewalk towards a neighbor's front yard in fear of the car losing control next to the middle of street crosswalk island that was recently installed.

1203 Cedar Ln, AustinRequest for Traffic Study on Old Cedar Ln. The study in 2023 used data from the slightly sloped, uphill portion of Old Cedar Ln, which resulted in an inaccurate assessment of vehicle speeds. The average speed of westbound (uphill) traffic was found to be higher (and in excess of the 35mph speed limit) than the eastbound (downhill) direction due to poor speed sensor placement. Old Cedar traffic has increased due to the opening of the Foxfield subdivision which provides access to Metric.
