Traffic Signal - Modification
723 Denson Dr, AustinPlease program a flashing left yellow turn signal for southbound vehicles turning from N. Lamar to eastbound on Denson. As it is now, the protected left green arrow cycles to red left arrow while northbound and southbound Lamar traffic has a green. This causes backups in the turning lane as vehicles have to wait for a full cycle until they are given opportunity to turn left again. Programming a flashing left arrow would allow for movements onto Denson if northbound traffic allows.
CLOSED #26-00042268Issue Has Been Resolved - Close SR. The City evaluated left turn operations at this intersection. As part of this evaluation, we studied intersection characteristics, crash history, as well as safety and mobility factors. Based on this evaluation, we have protected this southbound left turn only to improve safety and reduce the risk of severe crashes. We will continue to monitor this location's operations and safety performance to determine if additional adjustments are needed in the future.
