These islands are brand new, cost the city a lot of money to implement, and are in constant use by the people living and visiting this neighborhood. I will save my strong criticisms of removing these until after I know if this is a temporary measure.

Traffic Signal - Modification
6900 N Lamar Blvd, AustinAfter a train crosses and fully clears North Lamar Boulevard, the traffic signal at this intersection fails to resume normal operation. The left-turn signal from Justin Lane onto North Lamar gets stuck on red, and all other directions also show red simultaneously, bringing all traffic to a complete stop. This condition lasts approximately 20 minutes before the signal returns to normal cycling.
CLOSED #26-00209428Issue Has Been Resolved - Close SR. Observed for several cycles via timing values, closed circuit television, and historical intersection timing report. Near time of complaint, traffic signal interrupted due to rail activity. In accordance to federal guidelines, traffic signal must service specified train procedure in order to ensure safety for surrounding vehicles and rail line. Additional delay may be incurred during train interruption. Signal being monitored to reduce delay as a result of train activity. Signal cycling as expected. Will continue to monitor operations.
